63- Ryan of Stoneface Defense: How to Stay Ahead of the Flames During Wildfire Season

Although Ryan is starting up a new company that will create a new product for the Modern Canadian Shooter, he's here to talk about something more near and dear to his heart. Ryan works as a volunteer firefighter in BC and has experience dealing with interface wildfires and wants you to know how you can be an asset and not a liability to those around you in one of the worst moments of your life.

Ryan put together a terrific and very digestible guide that we go over step by step. The guide covers the 3 phases of preparation one can and should take to prepare for the wildfire season. Here's a summation of the things you should have to stay prepared in an emergency situation

FOR YOUR VEHICLE:
-Water Jerry Can
-Fuel Jerry
-Signaling Dev
-Spare parts kit for vehicle (serp belt, fuses, etc.)
-Vehicles Fluids (Coolant, Oil, Windshield, Power Steering and Brake)
-Tie Down Straps
-Jumper Cables and or Booster pack
-Hi-Lift Jack (check weight rating)
-Proper IFAK (with stuff for burns)
-Water filtration
-Food for at least 1-2 weeks
-Cooking device (jet boil or coleman stove)
-Radio capable of listening to AM radio channels
-Portable Radio capable of being programmed
-Backroad maps
-Saw/cutting device
-Bolt cutters
-Vehicle electricity inverter
-Flashlight/headlamp/solar lamp

FOR YOUR HOME:
-Fireproof safe
-Sprinkler system
-blue flagging tape
-Painters pole (if required for setting up sprinklers)
-Landscaping tools
